Plain English. No fine print on the floor. If anything below conflicts with what a salesperson tells you, this page wins.
How financing works
There are two transactions, and they never mix.
The vehicle. You finance the truck or SUV with the dealer's F&I office, exactly the way you would if you walked in off the street. Title, registration, sales tax, and the loan all flow through the dealer.
The build. You finance the parts, install hours, and any associated services with us. We arrange this through a partner lender; the loan is secured by the build itself, not the vehicle. You'll see two separate monthly payments. We show them combined in the payment bar so you know the all-in number, but the paperwork keeps them apart.
The combined monthly payment is an estimate until you lock. After lock, both payments are fixed for the full term.
Warranty traffic-light
Every part in our catalog carries one of three warranty labels. We tell you up front and we ask you to acknowledge before you add anything that affects coverage.
- GreenCosmetic or plug-and-play. No warranty impact. Floor mats, light bars on factory wiring, decals, interior trim.
- AmberMay void a specific system warranty. Tunes, larger wheels, off-road bumpers. You acknowledge before adding. The rest of the vehicle warranty stands.
- RedSignificant impact. Suspension lifts, structural mods, drivetrain swaps. You actively accept, and we provide a written summary of which warranty terms change.
Acknowledge and accept actions are timestamped and stored with your build. You can review them any time in your Garage.
Refund policy
You leave a deposit when you lock a build. Here's how the refund window works:
- Within 72 hours of lock. Full refund, no questions, no restocking fee.
- 72 hours to 30 days. 50% refund. The other 50% covers parts already on order and time spent coordinating with your dealer.
- After 30 days. Non-refundable. By this point parts are in transit or installed and the dealer has scheduled your delivery.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 business days of approval.
Soft pull vs. hard pull
We pull credit twice, and we treat the two pulls very differently.
Soft pull at pre-qualification. When you start configuring, we ask for name, email, gross income, and housing status. That's enough to give you an APR band. No SSN. No impact on your credit score. The soft pull is invisible to other lenders.
Hard pull at lock. When you lock the build, we collect your full SSN and run a hard credit inquiry through our partner lender. The SSN is transmitted directly to the lender over an encrypted channel and is never stored by Alchemy Autos. Hard pulls do appear on your credit report and may affect your score by a few points; this is standard for any auto-loan application.
You can walk away after the soft pull with no record. After the hard pull, the inquiry stays on your report for 24 months whether you complete the purchase or not.
